FREE Carbon Footprint Toolkit
Small World Consulting recently piloted a new Carbon Footprint Toolkit with a representative sample of tourism businesses. The aim is to provide businesses operating in the tourism sector with a quick and easy to use tool for reducing both costs and greenhouse gas emissions. The pilot proved so successful that Cumbria Tourism is now making the Toolkit available to all businesses, free of charge.
Here is what just one of the pilot businesses thought about the process:

The Benefits
The carbon and resource management tool will provide:
•a quick and practical method of estimating greenhouse gas emissions from both operations and supply chains
•an analysis of costs associated with carbon
•a clear process for identifying cost and carbon improvements
•exploration of reputational opportunities, where appropriate
Once these measures have been implemented the footprint can be reassessed and actual savings
can be calculated.
