Commercial Members' Meeting 24th September

On Wednesday 24th September 2008 a Commercial Members' Meeting was held at the Stonecross Manor Hotel, Kendal. 

 

The theme of the meeting was Sustainable Tourism and we were delighted to welcome Anthony Climpson OBE, Tourism Destination Manager for the New Forest District Council as our keynote speaker, who gave an inspiring presentation on sustainable initiatives undertaken in the New Forest and winning the 2007 Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Award.  Also during the evening there were presentations from Katie Read, Natural Tourism Manager, North West and case studies from David Welch of Cote How Guest House, Rydal and Nigel Wilkinson of Windermere Lake Cruises.
