Rural Development Programme for England - Rural Northwest Tourism Connect
Important update regarding changes that will be occurring in the Rural Northwest Tourism Connect programme, administered in Cumbria by Cumbria Tourism.
The Rural Northwest Tourism Connect programme is now closed to new applications. This is as a result of the launch of the Defra Rural Economy Grant programme, administered by the Defra RDPE Delivery Teams, which includes support to tourism accommodation providers. Please follow this link for more detailed guidance and application form: http://rdpenetwork.defra.gov.uk/funding-sources/rural-economy-grant
We appreciate that this is disappointing news; however, the new Defra Rural Economy Grant can provide capital funding to tourism accommodation providers. The new programme will be inviting applications in two ‘bidding rounds', the first round has now closed. Please refer to the Defra website above for details of further rounds.
