The Awards Celebration 2010
The 2010 Cumbria Tourism Awards took place on Tuesday 11th May at Rheged, Penrith.
260 guests attended the glamorous awards finale to hear the winners of our 15 award categories announced. Each of our category sponsors presented the winners with their beautiful glass award on the evening, hand crafted by Jo Vincent Glass Designers.
The ceremony was hosted by Stuart Maconie - TV and radio presenter, journalist, columnist and author - who is also well known for his love of Cumbria!

Lakes TV supported the Cumbria Tourism Awards 2010, and filmed the full awards ceremony. The film will be broadcast a special programme through their media channels on www.lakestv.net and on SKY.
Lakes TV is a new TV channel for Cumbria and The Lake District on Sky Ch 203 PRIME TIME broadcasting everyday (Mon-Thurs from 7.30pm and Fri-Sun from 8.00pm). Viewing figures for this slot are currently at an impressive 320,000 per day. The channel's output will also feature on Freeview Ch 200 and Virgin Media Ch 878 throughout the North West from April 2010.
Progression Routes
The winning businesses in the Cumbria Tourism Awards will go on to represent Cumbria at England's Northwest Tourism Awards in the autumn and the winners from this regional event then go forward to compete nationally at the Enjoy England Awards. Regional award winners 2009
