Cumbria Tourism Awards

The Cumbria Tourism Awards celebrate the best of Cumbria's tourism businesses and the talented individuals behind them. Their hard work and dedication drive an economy worth over £2 billion so they are well worth the recognition!

Award Categories

There is an award category to suit everyone across Cumbria's vast and diverse range of tourism businesses. Winning businesses have to demonstrate excellence and innovation throughout their business, including their product, welcome, service, marketing and sustainable practices. The Sheila Hensman Award recognises the outstanding contribution to customer service offered by an individual employee or business owner.

Our Sponsors

The Cumbria Tourism Awards is a prestigious annual event that requires investment from its entrants, organisers and most importantly, its sponsors. The show simply could not go on without our sponsors' help. The awards are supported by both local and national organisations, many of whom are now in their fifth year of sponsorship.

Why enter?

"I would encourage all businesses to enter the Tourism awards, apart from the obvious benefits of raising their profile, attracting more bookings and working with the media, the hidden benefits include uniting and focusing the team, giving all a sense of achievement and pride whilst bringing out their competitive spirt."
Lesley Hornsby, No 43, Arnside
Guest Accommodation of the Year 2010

"There's never a good time to fill in an entry form for an award - there's always plenty of other things to do! However, the benefits we have experienced at Woodclose really have been huge. Not only have we had valuable local publicity but it's been much easier to engage with regional press elsewhere in the UK. For us - it's been a really worthwhile experience which I would thoroughly recommend."
Jim Walker, Lake District Estates - Woodclose Park, Kirkby Lonsdale
Holiday Park of the Year 2010
