Cumbria Tourism Business Advice

Cumbria Tourism is pleased to be able to offer a wide range of business advice and support services for all types and sizes of tourism businesses, from one-man bands to large tourism employers.

Whether you need advice on Quality Gradings, are looking to develop your marketing or need advice on staff training, this area of our website is designed to answer some of the questions you might have, tell you about the assistance Cumbria Tourism can provide and give you the details of other organisations that you may also need to contact.

We are currently:

• Co-ordinating the nationally recognised Welcome to Excellence suite of customer care courses
• Co-ordinating the nationally recognised Profit Through Productivity programme working with 40 tourism businesses
• Working in partnership with Carlisle City Council to deliver a series of tourism business support projects.
• Helping businesses gain local, regional and national recognition through participation in the Cumbria Tourism Awards.
• Conducting business and skills audits to direct you to appropriate and cost effective business support and training provision.
• Providing strategic skills, business and workforce development guidance to key partners and stakeholders.
• Offering DMS training and advice.
• Providing market development advice.
