Re-vamped www.cumbriatourism.org


www.cumbriatourism.org our corporate website is currently being re-designed and is due to be launched at the beginning of July 2009.  New additional templates, what's on calendar, ability to sign-up online to courses, marketing and events are only a few of the new features which will enhance the site and make it a one stop shop for tourism in Cumbria. Due to the imminent switchover to the new site the members only area will be unavailable.

 

Cumbria Tourism's Twitter page praised by Times

Cumbria Tourism's Twitter page http://twitter.com/LakeDistrictPR has been given 8 out of 10 by Times Online in a recent report on the best and worst UK tourist board Twitter sites.  Scoring higher than Visit Wales and Visit Scotland, Cumbria Tourism was complimented on its enthusiam for the region and its exciting Tweet on events and things to see in the county. Marketing Opportunities 2009/10

Marketing packages will returning for another year and in the next month we will be inviting you to sign up to our great value opportunities for 2010. Blumilk a design company based in Newcastle have successfully tendered for the production of the 2010 Holiday Guide and we are looking forward to working with them on the campaign.

Cumbria Tourism Award Winners announced

The winners of the 2009 Cumbria Tourism Awards were revealed at a special ceremony in Kendal in May. 

 

Hundreds of tourism professionals and businesses from around the county gathered at the Castle Green Hotel in Kendal to hear the winners announced by actor and broadcaster, Ted Robbins.  Nineteen prizes were awarded on the night, which recognised excellence both in business and in people including the final award for the Large Hotel of the Year being presented to the host venue, the Castle Green Hotel.  View award winners
